Our mission is to provide cutting-edge mentoring support and access to the creative industries to young people with the talent and potential to pursue a career in the sector.
Our focus is on marginalised young people from working-class communities who have traditionally been disconnected from mainstream arts provision and career opportunities in the creative sector.
Our vision is of a cohesive and inclusive society where working-class communities are positively and holistically engaged with the creative arts and there are no barriers to young people in these communities developing their creative talents, unleashing their potential and pursuing careers in the creative industries.

We deliver workshops to young people interested in the creative arts industry for 8-25 year olds . We also support the young people to manage Live Events, Create Short Films, Documentary Production, Performing Arts, Vocal Academy, Digital Media, Coding, DJ’ing, WebDesign and have fun but with a learning experience connected to everything they do.
When you come to NACN you can be sure that our staff and Volunteer Young Leaders will make you feel like part of the team. Each of our sessions offers something different and keeping with the creative side of things we like to change them about to suite the needs of the young people.
At NACN, we have grown so much that our current premises can no longer hold everyone, it is too small for us. No running water, toilets or basic facilities that we require. We are in the middle of planning our new premises so we can meet all of our young people's needs ie. running water, toilets, kitchen etc. Everything that isn't possible in our current premises can be achived in our new premises when construction has been completed.
There is a growing body of evidence that supports the notion that active involvement in creative activities can provide a wide range of benefits, including the promotion of well-being, quality of life and health.
Rathcoole is the largest housing estate in Northern Ireland, with a population of approx 7,900, it is also a relatively deprived area that ranked within the top 10% most deprived areas in Northern Ireland.
The pattern of declining health is linked with socio-economic status, and people living in disadvantaged areas are more likely to carry the burden of ill health.
At NACN Coole Studios we want to change this and our approach is to develop the capacity of young people living in and around the area to engage in innovative workshops and projects that will support them to pursue our vision to become self sustainable for the future.
